Beach Defender is a fully independent non-profit organization created by the sustainable swimwear brand Company Mu to further its mission of defending the last beaches of earth. Year after year of visiting wild beaches around the world revealed a disturbing truth: That each time we visit the beaches that we love, we play a part in destroying them a little. As beachgoers we have a responsibility to restore the balance, and while ambitious projects such as eliminating plastics from the ocean and reducing carbon emissions certainly have their place, there is nothing that delivers more immediate results than hands-on conservation at a local level.
